In this vibrant spring season full of vigour, ELEMENTS has collaborated with local fashion and fabric artist – Sonic Lam to present the “Embrace Springtime with Full Vigour” Lunar New Year art installation. Featuring a 5.5m-tall peacock as the centrepiece symbolizing good fortune and happiness, this spectacular installation combines blessing-infused patchwork to wish you a prosperous and joyful new year.
The peacock artwork installation at ELEMNTS is made of numerous materials and vibrant fabrics that represent blessing of exaltation. Sonic has precisely detailed every facet of the peacock artwork, expertly employing the textiles and subtle patterns of various textiles to accurately depict the body and tail feathers that reflects the peacock's beauty and grandeur. Auspicious knot decorations float in the air alongside traditional Chinese New Year lanterns that eloquently embody the essence of Chinese aesthetics. Sonic's vivid textile flowers surround the peacock, creating an ambience of vigour and abundance.
